Noor's FUE Eyebrow Transplant at Crown Clinic

Manchester beauty professional Noor underwent a four-hour FUE eyebrow transplant with Dr. Asim Shahmalak at Crown Clinic after years of overplucking had left gaps in her natural brows. A year after treatment, Noor had the fuller "designer eyebrows" she had wanted, and said she felt confident going out without make-up.

Noor's Results

Noor's eyebrow transplant restored hair to the gaps created by years of overplucking. Donor hair taken from the back of her scalp was transplanted into the eyebrow area and positioned to blend with her remaining natural brow hairs.

The transplanted hairs took several months to develop, with Noor showing off her fully grown brows around a year after treatment.

The Story of Noor

Working at a beauty counter in a high-end department store made Noor particularly conscious of the appearance of her eyebrows.

After years of overplucking had damaged her natural brows, she wanted to restore the missing hair and achieve the fuller eyebrow shape she had always wanted.

A year after undergoing treatment at Crown Clinic in Manchester, Noor said:

“A year on from the operation, I can go make-up free and feel confident going out. I have the wow effect. You cannot put a price on that.”

Looking back on the treatment, Noor said:

“I am glad that I corrected the damage caused by years of overplucking.

Brows are so important as they frame your face. It is especially important to me that my brows look good because I work in the beauty industry in a high-end department store. All eyes are on you! You want to look your best.

It took several months for my new brows to grow back but now I can go make-up free and feel confident going out. You can’t put a price on that.

Thanks to Dr. Asim for giving me back my confidence and making me feel feminine again. I have the designer eyebrows I have always wanted.”

Noor's FUE Eyebrow Transplant Procedure

Noor underwent a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) eyebrow transplant with Dr. Asim Shahmalak. The procedure took approximately four hours.

  1. Extraction

Donor hairs were individually extracted from the back of Noor's scalp using the FUE technique.

  2. Transplantation

The extracted hairs were then transplanted into the gaps in Noor's eyebrows, with placement designed to blend with her remaining natural brow hair.

  3. Recovery & Aftercare

Noor took around eight days away from work while bruising and swelling around the eye area settled.

Noor's Experience at Crown Clinic

Dr. Shahmalak explained that Noor’s treatment involved restoring areas affected by overplucking using donor hair from the scalp.

He said:

“Women come to me from all over the world to get their eyebrows restored after losing their natural brows for a number of reasons.

This latest patient had damaged her eyebrows through overplucking and understandably wanted to put them right because she works at a beauty counter and feels under pressure to look good.

I took some hairs from the back of her scalp and replanted them in the gaps in her brows. It is exactly the same procedure as a normal hair transplant, except the transplanted hairs are replanted in the brows rather than the scalp.

It takes between six and nine months for the transplanted hair to grow back in their new home, and after that patients have full eyebrows with no gaps.

It saves them hours on their beauty routine and gives more symmetry to the face, framing the eyes perfectly. This patient got a fantastic result, as you can see from the picture of her with her new designer brows. I was delighted to be able to help her.”

Because the transplanted follicles came from the scalp, the new eyebrow hairs keep growing like scalp hair and therefore need regular trimming. Crown Clinic also provided Noor with a beauty kit to help train and manage the transplanted hairs as they grew.

Noor said:

“The actual procedure was surprisingly stress-free. I opted to have the FUE technique, which didn’t really hurt – it just felt like pinpricks.

I took around eight days off work to allow the bruising and swelling to disappear around the eye area.

As the brows grow back, you need to brush them so they flow in the natural direction and trim them regularly. That way, you are on your way to showing off your gorgeous designer brows.”

Noor also used her professional beauty experience to style and manage her brows once they had fully grown.

She explained:

“I came across many brow gel mascara wands with various shades to suit. That really sets your new brows in place and gives them that wow effect!”
