Elizabeth's Results
Elizabeth chose treatment after years of using false eyelashes had left her natural lashes noticeably thinner. She also wanted to create fuller eyebrows, having never been entirely happy with their naturally thin appearance.

Her treatment involved 35 new lashes being placed into the upper eyelids, and approximately 400 hairs individually transplanted into the eyebrows.
The Story of Elizabeth Cook
Elizabeth, a mother of four from Harlow, Essex, decided to combine both treatments into a single visit to Crown Clinic.
Her eyelash transplant was chosen to address thinning lashes after prolonged use of false eyelashes, while her eyebrow transplant was performed for cosmetic reasons to create a fuller brow.
Dr. Shahmalak carried out the eyebrow transplant in the morning and the eyelash transplant later that afternoon. Elizabeth was able to leave Crown Clinic the same day.
She was so relaxed during the eyebrow procedure that she fell asleep.
Elizabeth said:

Both procedures were performed by Dr. Asim Shahmalak using donor hair taken from Elizabeth's scalp.

Extraction
A strip of hair was removed from the back of Elizabeth's scalp before the individual follicles needed for the two procedures were separated. Dr. Shahmalak was assisted by four technicians during the preparation and extraction of the donor follicles.

Transplantation
For the eyelash transplant, 35 new lashes were placed into Elizabeth's upper eyelids using a specialist needle. For her eyebrows, approximately 400 hairs were individually transplanted to create a fuller brow.

Aftercare
Because the transplanted follicles came from scalp hair, the new eyebrow and eyelash hairs keep the characteristics of scalp hair as they grow. Elizabeth therefore needs to trim and curl them regularly.

Elizabeth trusted Dr. Shahmalak to perform both procedures together after deciding she wanted to address her damaged eyelashes and improve the fullness of her eyebrows at the same time.
This was the first occasion on which Dr. Shahmalak had performed both procedures on one patient during the same day.

I had never been entirely happy with my eyebrows. They had naturally been quite thin and I wanted a fuller brow. I just think they look far better following the transplant.”
