The Story of Jack P Shepherd
Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, best known for playing David Platt, underwent an FUE hair transplant at Crown Clinic after becoming increasingly concerned about thinning around the front of his scalp.
Jack had experienced hair loss for around a decade but said it had become considerably more noticeable during the year before his procedure. Working regularly in front of the camera made the changes particularly visible to him, especially around his frontal hairline.
“I remember seeing myself on screen and thinking: ‘Oh my God, it is really falling out.'”
Jack decided to address the hair loss while he still had a suitable donor area and wanted to restore the front of his hair so that he could style it more freely.
